Whimsy Mixed Media Artwork on Cradled Panel

Whimsical mixed media artwork, signed “Borge” verso, combines painting, collage, and sculpture on a vertical black panel. At the center, two stylized faces are painted with expressive features—one with turquoise blue hair, the other with reddish-brown—nestled closely together. Their clothing and torsos are formed from a collage of vintage comic strips, with speech bubbles and cartoon figures still visible, adding layers of narrative and texture.

Rising from the top of the panel, a three-dimensional sculpted figure dressed in red extends upward, holding a bright red flower made from painted wire and paper. The figure’s long form drapes down the board, connecting visually with the heads below through a splash of blue paint, as if emerging from or blending into their shared space. Playful and surreal :)

Note: The red sculpted figure on top has some minor damage to the internal wiring, but it remains stable, unnoticeable when hung but worth mentioning, price reflects.
