At the center are two prominent mushrooms with wide, gently curving caps rendered in soft, earthy washes. Fine ink lines are used sparingly but with precision—especially to define the gills and stems—giving the fungi structure and rhythm. The vertical striations of the gills and stems are articulated through a beautiful balance of controlled ink strokes and soft pigment bleeding. Beneath the mushrooms, tufts of grass and smaller fungal forms are loosely suggested with light brushwork and quick ink marks.

The restrained palette and minimalist approach evoke a quiet stillness—reminiscent of East Asian botanical studies. Wonderful!
